HSMG 2010 – Day 1

This weekend, I’m at the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild 2010 conference in Denver, CO. It’s pretty awesome seeing so many soap makers, suppliers, and industry experts all in one place! Today I had a hard time choosing which sessions to go to, because they all sounded interesting. The keynote address was given by Carol Moseley Braun and was primarily about sustainability, which she did a great job of outlining in a very non-political way, which I appreciated.

I also attended a session about the history of Pangea Organics (a very interesting story told by the very interesting Joshua Onysko), and (among others) two sessions on liquid soap-making, which I’ve been taking an interest in lately (stay tuned!).
