A Message From HSMG

We’ve been pretty darn busy around Alabu the past few months, but I wanted to stop and pass along a message from the HSMG.

The Safe Cosmetics Act of 2010, introduced in the House of Representatives earlier this year, would impose very burdensome and unwarranted requirements on the handcrafted soap and cosmetics industry. Fortunately, the current legislation is held up in Committee and no action is expected before the 110th Congress adjourns in December . In January 2011, the 111th Congress will be sworn in and the legislation will have to be reintroduced . Between now and then, we will build a foundation made up of key congressional supporters for the HSMG position .

In shaping policy, there will be many challenges; however, we are confident we will prevail as your business and industry is too important to not have a voice on legislation that adversely affects the livelihoods of thousands of families.

Thank you for the opportunity to represent the Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild .

I fear for the Skin Errors so I am doing some research of how to assist my client the best I can. And this has been very inspiring. So again, I desire to thank you sincerely!
